Some more diamond beading today. I added some embellishments to the outside of the frame.  These are from Aussie Trends Handcrafts and a few of my friends spent an enjoyable afternoon learning how to bead.

Tree Ornaments

Image
I made this set of Tree ornaments for my friend as a thank you for hosting our neighbourhood Christmas Party. They are a Dreaming tree project and fun to make. I knew my friend  loves pink and pretty so I made them pink and silver and they matched her tree perfectly.

Christmas Eve

Image
Night Before Christmas in Aussie land   Night Before Christmas in Aussie land 'Twas the night before Christmas; there wasn't a sound. Not a possum was stirring; no-one was around. We'd left on the table some tucker and beer, ...Hoping that Santa Claus soon would be here; We children were snuggled up safe in our beds, While dreams of pavlova danced 'round in our heads; And Mum in her nightie, and Dad in his shorts, Had just settled down to watch TV sports. When outside the house a mad ruckus arose; Loud squeaking and banging woke us from our doze. We ran to the screen door, peeked cautiously out, Snuck onto the deck, then let out a shout. Guess what had woken us up from our snooze, But a rusty old Ute pulled by eight mighty kangaroos. The cheerful man driving was giggling with glee, And we both knew at once who this plump bloke must be. Now, I'm telling the truth it's all dinki-di, Those eight kangaroos fairly soa...

Victorian Sewing Boxes

Image
Even though  I really can't sew I loved making these Victorian Sewing Boxes  They are the same concept as a exploding card, a bit fiddly to compete but definately a challenge.

Pine Cone Projects

Image
Some more pine cone projects to share today. The first is a pine cone hanger, very simple  but very popular. I added a bit of greenery and berries to the cone  and a re cardinal and a ribbon hanger . I also bought some tiny terracotta pots and added a pine cone  studded with berries and a bit of greenery and a ribbon. A nice little gift.

Decorated Tea Lights

Image
The decorated tea lights were very popular at the Market .  Made to look a bit like a birthday cake with a candle in the middle. One lady bought out my entire basket full.   I also made a few with a Christmas theme.

Pine Cone Centre Pieces

Image
My friend was able to find some pine cones for me in the local park so I made table centrepieces with them  I did make 10 but unfortunately or maybe fortunately all but one sold leading up to and during set up. Will have to increase my number next time .  They proved to be very popular.

Christmas Craft Market

Image
I would like to share a few photos of some of the items I have made for our Christmas Craft Market which was held in our village recently. I found these little glass baubles at a local store, added a floor with snow and glitter and a few little miniatures  to make a cute tree hanger.

Craft Mad Monthly Swap

Image
The second card for our Craft Mad Monthly Swap was to make a card from something that had been recycled. I chose an advertising leaflet from Blue Edge Crafts    I made a small fan from the leaflet, and added a tassel and also backed some stickers with other parts of the leaflet.
