I am not much of an artist but I have been playing with the new Prima Earth Tone Watercolours from Blue Edge Crafts so after I painted my background I used 3D images from several sheets to add the boats and the shells and a greeting from Sticker Store.

This is my second entry into the Fine arts section at the show this year. I was so excited to be awarded second prize for my project.
I painted a Kaisercraft Advent Calendar box and also painted the drawers and inside and out. I covered the drawers with Couture Creations Vintage Rose Garden papers and added drawer knobs  from Kaisercraft.

On top of the box I created a scene with flowers, sewing machine, artist easel, mannequin and sewing basket and paper rolls as well as  teddy. I finished the top of with timber alphas.

I papered the centre opening with Couture Creations Vintage Rose Garden and added a couple of miniature cupboards filled with various craft and sewing notions, miniatures of some of my greeting cards. I also added a sewing machine and mannequin.

I filled the drawers with tiny plastic containers filled with beads, sequins buttons and various small craft items. I would like to add my project to the following challenges: Crafty Cardmakers and More Crafting Musketeers

This is my Circus project which I entered into the Fine Arts Section of the Royal Queensland Show ..or the Ekka as we call it in  Queensland.

I was thrilled to be awarded first prize as well as Best Exhibit in the Scrapbooking section.

I started with a Dusty Attic Photo Carousel which I painted. I have used Graphic 45  Le Cirque for the project

I have layered the rotating panels with Graphic 45 patterned papers. I cut and 3d -ed the clowns, acrobats and animals etc with each panel showing a different aspect of the circus.

I embossed black card for the top and bottom edges and added stars rhinestones and tiny 3d clowns and acrobats

The laser cut panels are fixed so I cut and layered a carousel horse for each of these
