Clown Bear Something a bit different today I made this bear some time back . He didn't start out to be a clown but somehow I just thought it suited that face. :)
A change of pace today. I thought I would share a couple more of my bears with you. I think Mr and Mrs Bear remind me a bit of Ron and I, growing old together:)
Today I would like to share another of my beaded knitting dolls. I really love the colour of this one and enjoy this craft although it is fairly time consuming. the beads have to be transferred from their hanks onto the knitting cotton and then very fine needles are used to knit the dresses.
A change of craft today. I would like to share a beaded doll with you . The dress is knitted with beads, a really lovely effect but lots of concentration needed ( and lots of unpicking along the way :) Thank you for visiting my blog this week. Your interest is appreciated.
To finish the week I thought I would show you my little Brown Bear. We had the misfortune to be held up with a landslide across the highway on one of our trips interstate so Brown Bear was hand stitched in the car while we waited for the road to be cleared. He is only a small bear, about 6" tall. Thank you for visiting my blog this week I hope you have enjoyed it.
This is my Scotty Bear. I made this bear some time back but he remains one of my favourites. I also made his jacket, kilt and tam o'shanter, actually I made about 4 jackets before I had one that looked reasonable enough to use. As you can tell I am not very good at sewing so I was very happy and surprised when he was awarded first prize at the Queensland Royal Show.
This is one of my favourite dolls. She is only tiny, about 15 cm tall. Her dress and hat are beaded knitting. I was awarded 1st Prize at the Royal Queensland Show for this piece I hope you have enjoyed looking at my blog this week.
This bear's body is made from an Ostrich Egg which has been cut to open at the front of his waistcoat. His arms, legs and head are made from pure wool.
I enjoy beaded knitting although I haven't done any in a while. My hubby says it is because I have to sit still while I do it. I wonder what he means by that. I hope that you enjoy seeing my bride and bridesmaids.
