Eastern Elements Multi Frame

I have made this frame with Alison Ellis Eastern Elements paper, really gorgeous paper with hints of metallic gold running through it.

Thsi frame is made an A3 sheet of chipboard and the frames are also made from chipboard. Colours can be changed to suit your own style however the following instructions are for the photographed frame
Instructions
Cover the A3 piece of chipboard with black card.
Cut the following pieces of chipboard for the frames
2 x 13cm x 12 cm
2 x 13cm x17.5cm
1x 12cm x16 cm
1 x 17cm x 16 cm
Mark 2cm all around each piece of chipboard and cut out the centre to make the frames.
Cover the frames with Alison Ellis Eastern Elements paper using glue or jac paper.
Ink the edges with a contrasting ink. I have used a black stamp pad. Insert photo 4
Glue the frames onto the backing board leaving one side of each frame open to slide your photos in to the frames. Alternatively if you have already chosen your photos you can attach them to the board before gluing the frames to the back board. Insert photo 5
I have chosen not to use a photograph in the centre bottom frame and instead I have added layered butterflies and rhinestone flourishes. As an added embellishment, I have cut geishas from the paper and backed it with card and attached it to the frame with 3d tape. I also added smaller layered butterflies and rhinestones.
For this project you will need:
2 sheets A3 chipboard
Alison Ellis Eastern Elements Paper
Gold glitter paper
Rhinestones and rhinestone flourishes
Butterfly dies or punches
(Joycraft butterfly dies were used for this project)

All products used for this project are available from Blue Edge Crafts

These are absolutely beautiful, you could make them out of any paper, I personally love them in this paper though. Brilliant job Kaye
