Australia's Biggest Morning Tea


Our village recently took part in Australia's Biggest Morning Tea to raise money for the Cancer Council. 
We decorated our hall in the colours of the Cancer Council.
Our local Councilor Sandy Landers was present and donated a beautiful cake and asked our oldest resident Barry to cut the cake.
Ou residents donated all the food for morning tea as well as the decorations and raffle prizes and were also very generous with their cash donation.
We raised just under $1400 and had a fabulous morning. 
I made some decorations for the tables. 
95 Small pillow boxes with sweets as a thank you gift, donation jars, Cancer ribbons and sweet baskets.
We are already planning for next year.

The theme for our monthly swap at Craft Mad was Bakers Twine. I must admit it is one of those things that sit in my craft room and don't often get used so this was the perfect opportunity. This is the first card that I will be sending to my partner. I started with a 4x6 white card, added a layer of  patterned paper, spellbinders scalloped oval.hand cut embellishments, buttons, charms , bakers twine and printed ribbon tape. Lego London

Something a little different today. My son and his wife gave me this Lego kit for my birthday. All the famous tourist attractions in London  I just love it and brought back great memories of a trip I did with  my husband some years back.
