Valentines Day Gift Box

Valentine’s Day Box
For this project you will need:
4 pieces heavy chipboard 4cm x 10cms (sides)
1 piece heavy chipboard 4cm x 9cm (base)
1 30cm x30cm sheets of 2 different patterned papers to cover the inside and outside of the boards .
I have used Bazzill patterned paper .Love birds on the outside and Sweethearts flowers on the inside
Ribbon
Embellishments of your choice
Stamp pad
Glue /double sided tape/modge podge
Sanding block
Instructions
Cut the paper slightly larger than the boards and attach to the outside with glue/doublesided tape/modge podge.
Turn over and repeat on the other side of the boards.
Allow to dry and sand all the edges for a neat finish.
Ink the edges with a matching ink pad. You may need to do this several times for a good coverage depending on the colour you are using. (see photo below, this is after one inking)
Punch a hole in each corner of the 4 4cmx 9cm boards. Do not punch holes in the base.

Now you are ready to assemble and decorate the box. If you prefer youcan run a line of glue along the sides for a better hold or you can just tie the ribbons on each corner. This will depend on what the box is going to hold.

I have used Spellbinders Nested hearts, punched hearts and butterfly stickers on all four sides as well as a greeting from Bazzill Valentines Back and Front paper.
Blue Edge Crafts products used in this project:
Bazzill Patterned Paper, Spellbinders dies, chipboard. Sticker Store Stickers.
